Jason Rillera Dimalanta was born on November 30, 1988 in Baguio City, Philippines to his loving parents, Peter and Marilyn Dimalanta. He was the youngest of three boys. His siblings were John and Melvin.

Jason was affectionately known as “bacoycoy”, a nickname given to him by his parents as he was the baby of the family. Jason had the privilege of being born and raised as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses. The loving and fine example his parents set in putting Jehovah first set a pattern for the entire family. Jason was moved to dedicate his life to Jehovah on July 12, 2003. He then began his career of full time service right after graduating high school.

What joy Jason had when he eventually met his wife Fyona. After meeting her, he couldn’t help but tell his mom, “I found the one.” He married Fyona Tuazon on February 2, 2012. Their greatest happiness came in serving Jehovah together, which led them to pursue further spiritual goals. After serving as pioneers for several years, they decided to submit their applications to serve as temporary Bethel workers and were called to Patterson Bethel in May of 2015. They eventually had the joy of becoming regular members of the Bethel family in October 2017.

Jason was a skilled construction worker who loved woodwork and used his skills to advance kingdom interests by means of his Bethel assignment in Audio/Video Services. He had the added privilege of working in the same department as his brothers, John and Melvin.

Jason was known for his warm and kind demeanor, especially towards his dear wife Fyona whom he lovingly called “Nell.” He maintained his sense of humor even in the face of difficulty which endeared him to all his friends and workmates. While his trust and self sacrifice was evident in his service at Bethel, they became even more apparent as he dealt with trials in life.

During this difficult time, we take comfort in the words found in Luke 20:38 where it describes our loving Heavenly Father as a “God, not of the dead, but of the living.” Thus, we are assured Jason is “living” in Jehovah’s memory and look forward to the the very near future we can welcome him back.

“You will call, and I will answer you. You will long for the work of your hands.”
